Ashtanga Yoga Teacher Training by Ken Harakuma

We are happy to announce and welcome again the Ashtanga Yoga Teacher Training Intensive with Ken Harakuma in Chiang Mai.
This course is designed as an intensive immersion into the teaching techniques of the Primary and Intermediate Series of Ashtanga Yoga.
The course program will include:
- “Yoga Chikitsa”: The Primary Series
- “Nadi Shodana”: The Intermediate Series
- How to practice them and teaching methods in Sanskrit
- Pranayama: breathing technique.
- Foundations in Yoga Philosophy, Anatomy and Meditation.
Participants will gain great insights and knowledge as to how to share the practice.
As always all levels of practitioners ( from beginners to advanced ) are welcome, students will be allowed to explore both series to the best of their abilities. Students will have the opportunity to enroll in one or both modules.
The course will run from February 23rd to February 25th 2018 and offers three options :
- A ) Primary Series
- B ) Intermediate Series
- C ) Both Primary and Intermediate
Ken Harakuma is the Director of Ashtanga Yoga Japan and co-founder of the International Yoga Center Japan. A surfer since high school, he has a black belt in Shorinji Kempo martial arts, has journeyed to the North Pole and climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro. He is also an advanced practitioner of Tai chi, Thai Massage, Therapy & Chiropractic Sports Massage and holds a Reiki Master Certification.
Ken is the first Japanese teacher authorized by Sri K. Pattabhi Jois to teach the Ashtanga Vinyasa method.He supervised the translation (into Japanese) of Surya Namaskar, Yoga Mala by Sri K. Pattabhi Jois, Ashtanga Yoga by Lino Miele and wrote “The Spirit of Ashtanga Yoga” (in Japanese). Ken has also hosted Sharath Jois in Japan in 2005 & 2007 for WS in Tokyo.
